Building The Legend Limited — creators of the sublime prototype inspired by Jaguar's one-and-only XJ13 — opens its doors to fellow enthusiasts. We bring the same attention to detail and craftsmanship we pour into our own cars to the servicing and restoration of your classic.
Based close to Jaguar's spiritual home in Coventry, our fully-equipped workshop welcomes owners of E-Types, classic saloons and race cars — whether re-creations or original. And, as we like to say: not just Jaguar.

The very first XK120 Coupé ever built has just landed on our bench. Here's its story — in the workshop's own words.
Prototype XK120 Coupé chassis 679002 is back from the paint shop. This is a very special car — the very first Coupé built in 1951, three years after the launch of the Roadster.
There is absolutely no doubt at all that this is the car purchased from South Australia by JD Classics, restored by them for a customer and displayed at Pebble Beach — where it won its concours class. It is the complete and genuine article, and this includes the chassis frame, albeit not with its original engine.
In all honesty, the paint job is amongst the best we have ever seen, and is truly befitting of such an important car. Now we have to take care to keep the paintwork looking stunning while we re-assemble.

Yes — from engine rebuilds to a full concours restoration, or anything in between. The work is planned with you and carried out in-house.
Do you service modern cars too?
Yes. We carry out servicing and MOT preparation for modern petrol and diesel cars alongside our classic work.
Do you offer collection and delivery?
Yes — we can collect your car and deliver it back to you once the work is complete.
How much will it cost?
We work to fixed labour rates, quoted and agreed with you before any work starts — no surprises on the invoice.
