Q: What exactly is for sale?

A part-complete Porsche 550 Toolroom Copy project — a substantially advanced build with the hand-formed aluminium body and 76mm tubular chassis shown in the photographs, plus many of the components gathered for the car. Included is a newly built 547-type four-cam 1500 engine — built to FIA specification, dynoed and tuned, and unopened in its crate since delivery — with a correct transaxle available if required. A full inventory is available on request.

A 550 Toolroom Copy build, substantially advanced, has become available. The hand-formed aluminium body and 76mm tubular chassis are in place, with many of the components already gathered for the car. It is offered below the price of an equivalent new commission: the car comes to our workshop near Coventry, and we finish it to your specification — the newly built four-cam engine travels with the project, and a correct transaxle can be added if required.

Take the project on and the car comes to our workshop in Royal Leamington Spa, near Coventry — we finish it to your specification, from trim and paint to the drivetrain conversation.

Completion

A shorter path to the road than a new commission.

Because the body, chassis and many components are already in place, a part-complete 550 skips the longest stages of a new build. We agree the scope of the remaining work with you before anything begins — and the car is completed to the same standard as every 550 Toolroom Copy that leaves the workshop. The newly built four-cam engine is included, agreed with you before work begins; a correct transaxle can be added if required.
